BAD- Loose the Smoke Keep the Fire advert.
This advert is not very successful in the way that I cannot see which age group that they are aiming at and even if they are trying to be cool, it is missing the point. After watching the advert I cannot remember the brand of the stop smoking patches.
GOOD - Honda - Grr, Hate something, change something.
This is the best example for my idea. It's a simple idea and cute animation that explains an enviromental issue with cars. The use of a song that is composed for the advert is cleverly written and makes it catchy and memorable.

Interaction
In this research I am going to identify and critique a series of existing graphic artifacts and ideas that are relevant to the current project.
1. Persil - Small and Mighty pop up book.
Persil have also created a new product that involves enviromental issues and is designed in a way that can teach children and adults the message. The use of children and a pop up book is sweet and cute. This makes people listen to the children and think about the enviromental impact that adults are having on their future and how we can change it.
2. Apple Mac Air Advert.
Apple has created an excellent brand, they use the right sound track, have well designed gadgets and computers. This is a perfect example of branding successfully.
3. Orange home broadband Advert
What I like about this advert is that it's about making things out of normal everyday things, surrounded by the home. Not only has it come across well on screen, this was a good idea from the start.
4. Orange pay monthly
Orange have also successfully created this advert, it is sweet, invloves people and in the same way that Michel Gondry makes hand made props and sets. Gives the extra craft, handmade style.
5. Skoda
Following on from the Orange advert, this is about making one large item, eg a car into something pretty and sweet. A good use of soundtrack and creates a positive brand image.
6. H Samuels
This is a clever use of animation, the characters that they have created have a memorable style and make H Samuels a special shop to buy from.
7. National Lottery
This advert is created by the same people as did H Samuels advert. I think this one is slightly better and the main reason is because of the sound track. It makes you feel happy and the optimism that you could win.

This advert is clever in the way that it uses humor. It is a simple way to make people remember the advert.

Bjork Dolls
This is my Bjork Dolls animation, which was continued on from the Portraits project. The dolls are all painted in outfits that Bjork has worn on videos, award ceremonies and the stage.
